Do not buy this camera!!!
Do not waste your money on this terrible camera. My grandson was so excited to see the Spiderman faceplates, but the is the ONLY thing this camera has going for it, and he couldn’t even get one to stay on anyway.
the viewfinder is so small you can’t see through it. (No view screen), the camera is so lightweight it couldn’t possibly last a day of picture taking with some five year olds!!!! The directions were hard even for grandpa or dad to figure out, let alone my grandson. Confusing!!!! Please look elsewhere for a camera for your children. This one is a HUGE disappointment and I took it back the day after Christmas. Still looking for a DECENT kids digital.

Wish I never bought it
You get what you pay for. I thought all digital cameras had a view screen but this one does not. My kids played with it five minutes and there it lies on the bottom of the toy box. Without the view screen, it just is no fun.

This is a good starter camera for a kid. It’s lightweight, and small enough to fit into a pocket. I was disappointed to discover that it doesn’t have a flash, however, which limits the camera’s use. Improves contrast and image quality
Hoods offer several benefits to the photographer. Primarily the hood shades the lens from stray light that may result in an unwanted discoloration or hazing of the image, or the appearance of lens flare. Shading your lens helps improve contrast and image quality. A hood is not required to eliminate these problems, as any item used to shade the lens will provide the same protection from stray light. The hood is convenient in that it is built to offer protection while ensuring that it will not inadvertently find its way into your image.

Photographers often state the protective abilities of a hood as a reason to have one. This hood being a solid conical three and three quarters inch long offers some protection from keeping moisture and wind blown debris off the from lens element. There is nothing more irritating than reviewing your images to find dust spots or other flaws. When in place, the hood can protect the lens from impacting solid objects. Replacing a damaged hood is usually cheaper than repairing an expensive L lens.

This hood is manufactured for the Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L zoom and normally comes included with the lens when sold new. There is no need to buy one with the lens as Amazon often suggests.

Since the hood is wider than the lens; it can easily be stored attached in a reverse position. This doesn’t add to the length of the lens, but does make it wider by about an inch. An inch may not seem like a lot, but in a tightly packed camera bag, it is huge. Fortunately Canon provides a storage case with the lens that can be used in addition to your camera bag.

While the protective benefits exist, they are secondary and limited. I find the impact the hood has on my image quality to be the more convincing reason to use a hood. Considering the impact on image quality and the low cost as compared to my other camera equipment (except for a lens case), purchasing a hood is money well spent.

Lens did not come with hood. Does not have the dots to line it up, when putting it on, like most Canon products. You would think Canon would INCLUDE it with the lens, when you pay that kind of money.

Does what it is supposed to do, but paying $38 for a piece of plastic that probably costs 50 cents to produce is crazy.

Good Scope
Good scope. Clear optics. Fits the AR platform perfectly. The only things I’d prefer are tactical turrent knobs versus the caps system they use. This is not a $1,000 Mark 4 scope but it will do just fine, especially for the price. I mounted it to a Smith & Wesson M&P15PC using Leupold Mark 4 Medium Height Rings and 2 basic risers bought from Bushmaster for $14 each and the scope site perfectly centered in view.

The Bulter Creek Flip Up lens caps needed are the #11 for the eye and the #25 for the Objective. Seems that little tidbit of information is hard to come by.

Decent lense for a hobby videographer
The expanded viewing area is a nice bonus to my Elura 80 camcorder. I bought this lense to aid in some simple music videos that I do and it definitely helps.

Now, was it worth the money? I think so, but if unless you shoot a lot indoors I would save your money, or try one of the eBay lenses that are half the price.

I’m very happy with this lens which I use on my Canon HG10 Camcorder. I am a real estate agent and need interior photos of properties and the lens allows me to capture much more in the image. I noticed a significant improvement in my listing photos. Since attaching the lens, I have not taken it off.

The lens is somewhat heavy, but it attests to the quality.

Great product.
Works as advertised, but watch pricing on this baby. I compulsively watched it for 3 months. It’s been as high as $369 and as low as $228 (3/26/10). Make sure you don’t impulse buy. I purchased at $253 on 3/17/10. Oh well….

complicated but worth it
This comes with a DVD to help set it up. You can custom fit it to just about any weapon. I use a muzzle loader and it has given me perfect information. It’s ability to look through bare branches and to pick a single target are great features because in a blind your movements are very limited. I was able to pre-screen my shooting area and pick out minor landmarks to have distances at the ready in case a fast moving deer moved through my area. It worked, as I was able to properly lead a fast moving buck and bring him right down. I also use it for golf. It is very powerful and very accurate.

GREAT RANGEFINDER
This rangefinder is dead on accurate. Measured out 100 yards with a nylon tape. The rangefinder was dead on. Have not used the bullet compensation yet, but I like the feature.

Great road companion and e-book
Overall, this is an excellent product for people who don’t need a full price, full weight notebook while travelling, but rather something with which to take basic notes, do scheduling and e-mail and simple web browsing, and also, especially, reading books downloaded from the web. Pluses are the very usable keyboard, the amazing battery life, and the screen, which while not great for graphics, is fine for text. The feature which allows you to fold the screen down over the keyboard, and use it as a tablet, is fantastic. Download a book, and set the browser at the largest font, hold the machine as a tablet, and you can comfortably read for hours, just like reading a book (although the machine, while light, is heaviest on top, which is a little awkward). For twice the cost of the RocketBook, you get just as good a screen, and word processing, scheduling and internet capacity to boot. Of course, this is too large and heavy to function as a real handheld. And there are the frustrating limits of all Windows CE machines, especially a Word program which is not just stripped down, but castrated (no page numbers, search function or footnotes). The process of connecting to desktop PCs is easy, but slower than it needs to be. But overall, this is a great little machine.

Great Machine - Mostly
I have used this machine for about 6 months now, and it simply perfect for the work I do. I use the office suite to start documents while on the road (I sometimes spruce them up once back at the office with the full version of Word or Excel), and I find other programs handy as well.

I use Microsoft Streets & Maps to make small maps that this machine can use on the road, and I use the free bookreader from Mobibook to read ebooks.

My only recommendation is that you buy Vadem’s new model instead (…). Sharp labeled this model, but it was built by Vadem as well. For less money, you can get twice the memory, twice the speed and better graphics.

Convenient, compatible and cool!
I have had my Mobilon for a year now and I still love it. As a professional journalist and technical writer, this little PC has made me more productive and efficient. Rather than using a notepad and pen, I bring along my Mobilon and essentially take dictation from interviewees. With applications like Pocket Word, Excel and PowerPoint, it snycs beautifully and easily with my desktop for more technical applications and the 12 hour battery life is fabulous! It also syncs with Outlook so I have all my contacts and my schedule with me. The touch screen technology and built-in handwriting recognition software mean I don’t have to find a surface for a mouse and I can take notes or draw figures with the stylus. The monitor resolution is very clear, though hard to read in bright sunshine, so don’t take it poolside. Color and grahics are very good, though you are limited when it comes to your choice of fonts–not a critical item for me.

I have small hands, so I think the keyboard is big enough for me, though some people have commented that typing on it is awkward. I disagree.

Of course, you can download or buy lots of great software from Bubblet (TM) to finance and utilites, so the sky’s the limit for how you decide to use this impressive little machine.

If you are looking for a laptop that doesn’t weigh seven pounds but is powerful enough for Word documents, spreadsheets and more, the Sharp Mobilon is for you.

The Sharp Mobilon TriPad PV-6000 has the features and specifications of a handheld-class device but has the look and feel of a notebook PC. Loaded with software, the TriPad connects to your PC through a travel dock via the PC’s 9-pin serial port. The TriPad has three modes of operation–conventional notebook (clamshell), writing tablet (slate), and presentation display (easel)–depending on how you open and fold the TriPad case.

The TriPad is ready to go as soon as it comes out of the box. All we had to do was charge the battery pack (already installed) and install the software on our desktop PC. When testing the TriPad, we found the keyboard so comfortable and the display so large and bright that we easily forgot that the TriPad is a Windows CE-based handheld, not a true notebook.

We set up the TriPad to connect to an ISP through its internal data/fax modem and to send and receive e-mail through the ISP. This process was easy and intuitive–we just ran the Make New Connection wizard and answered its questions. (Make sure that you have your ISP’s mail-protocol information handy.)

We also installed and tested the Jot 2.0 handwriting-recognition software (15-day trial version). The software takes a little getting used to, but it is flexible and trainable, and you can actually write quickly using the stylus on the TriPad’s wide touch screen.

After an initial battery charge, we did all of our tests without the AC adapter and with the Tripad set to the brightest screen setting over a period of about seven hours. At the end of our testing, the battery level indicated about 25% power remaining and the TriPad was still fast and responsive.

With its VGA touch screen and stylus (which makes a great pointing device for activating links on Web pages), comfortable keyboard, sturdy and attractive design, and long battery life, the TriPad makes a great low-cost alternative to notebook computing. –Mike Brown

Download a book, and set the browser at the largest font, hold the machine as a tablet, and you can comfortably read for hours, just like reading a book (although the machine, while light, is heaviest on top, which is a little awkward). For twice the cost of the RocketBook, you get just as good a screen, and word processing, scheduling and internet capacity to boot. Of course, this is too large and heavy to function as a real handheld. And there are the frustrating limits of all Windows CE machines, especially a Word program which is not just stripped down, but castrated (no page numbers, search function or footnotes). The process of connecting to desktop PCs is easy, but slower than it needs to be. But overall, this is a great little machine.

Great Machine - Mostly
I have used this machine for about 6 months now, and it simply perfect for the work I do. I use the office suite to start documents while on the road (I sometimes spruce them up once back at the office with the full version of Word or Excel), and I find other programs handy as well.

I use Microsoft Streets & Maps to make small maps that this machine can use on the road, and I use the free bookreader from Mobibook to read ebooks.

My only recommendation is that you buy Vadem’s new model instead (…). Sharp labeled this model, but it was built by Vadem as well. For less money, you can get twice the memory, twice the speed and better graphics.

Convenient, compatible and cool!
I have had my Mobilon for a year now and I still love it. As a professional journalist and technical writer, this little PC has made me more productive and efficient. Rather than using a notepad and pen, I bring along my Mobilon and essentially take dictation from interviewees. With applications like Pocket Word, Excel and PowerPoint, it snycs beautifully and easily with my desktop for more technical applications and the 12 hour battery life is fabulous! It also syncs with Outlook so I have all my contacts and my schedule with me. The touch screen technology and built-in handwriting recognition software mean I don’t have to find a surface for a mouse and I can take notes or draw figures with the stylus. The monitor resolution is very clear, though hard to read in bright sunshine, so don’t take it poolside. Color and grahics are very good, though you are limited when it comes to your choice of fonts–not a critical item for me.

I have small hands, so I think the keyboard is big enough for me, though some people have commented that typing on it is awkward. I disagree.

Of course, you can download or buy lots of great software from Bubblet (TM) to finance and utilites, so the sky’s the limit for how you decide to use this impressive little machine.
